Krissy Feniak Bio

 Krissy is a Country Music Singer / Songwriter from Alberta Canada.
 
Growing up in a small Alberta Oil Town was perfect for Krissy, "I love my Town so much, the support of my Family, Friends and the entire Community is amazing, I honestly can't think of a better place to be.  Her down-home roots and passion for her family and community shows in her music

Recently Krissy travelled to Nashville by invitation to compete in the North American Country Music Awards Competition.  She was honoured to win the International Female Artist, Entertainer, Songwriter and Single of the year in that competition.  As well she was nominated for the 2017 Edmonton Music Awards Rising Star Award and chosen as a contender for the 2016 & 2017 Female Artist of the Year and Fans Choice by the Alberta Country Music Association.   

She has performed at venues such as The Somewhere in Alberta Showcase ( London, Ontario),The Diamonds in the Rough Showcase (Halifax and Saskatoon), the Alberta Country Music Awards All Star Jam,  ACMA Fan Fest, Knoxvilles Tavern, Big Valley Jamboree, Cowboys Dance Hall, K-Days, The Starlight Room, Edmonton Festival of Trees and many other events around Alberta. Opening for acts such as Doc Walker, Gord Bamford, Trevor Panczak, Dwayne Steele and many more.  

Songwriting has become a passion for Krissy!  Recently working with writers such as Ralph Murphy, Cory Lee Barker,  Dayna Blayone, Olivia Wik and many more.  Krissy co-wrote the track "Always been you" on her recent CD, with Producer and CCMA Guitar Player of the Year (Brett Kissel Band) Matty Mckay. A song written about their Mothers.

Krissy's new single "Mess with me" will be available in spring of 2018.  Written by Krissy and Olivia Wik , produced by Matty Mckay and recorded at OCL Studios in Calgary, AB. 

 Her distinctive mix of Old Fashioned and Modern Country Music make her a crowd favourite!  She has been called a mix between Loretta Lynn and Miranda Lambert
